Hurtigrutens ships

Welcome on board. All ships have different size, age, their own style and design. Common for all is that you will get an experience of a lifetime on the most beautiful voyage.

MS Midnatsol

This is one of the classical ships.
The name has been used on three other ships before this. You can also find interior connected to the name
which is inspired by the sun and light you can experience when passing the artic circle.

MS Trollfjord

The ship has its name from the spectacular fjord which is one of the experiences you will have on the southbound voyage
The ships is one of the larger ones with a capacity of almost 1000. It is popular for the younger ones.

MS Finnmarken

The first Finnmarken ship was build in 1912 and it was the trendsetter.
This one is one of the larger ships. It will reemerge as a brand new expeditionship from 2021.
But already in 2020 you can sail with her on coastal voyages.

MS Nordnorge

The ship is the 4th with the same name and is known from the documentary "Hurtigruten  – minut for minut”. The name is
translated to "northern norway". She was totally renovated in 2016 with a more modern and arctic interior.

MS Nordkapp

The ship is named after the northernmost point called Nordkapp.
The guests can visit Nordkapp on the northbound and southbound voyage.
She was totally renovated in 2016 with a more modern and arctic interior.

MS Polarlys

The name means arctic light and the ship is the 3rd with the same name. The northern light has inspired the interior for this ship.
She has a total renovation in 2016 to a more modern interior.

MS Nordlys

As the ships MS Polarlys and MS Midnatsol it is named after the northern lights in the north. 
The northern light has inspired the interior for this ship.
She had a total renovation in 2016 to a more modern interior.

MS Richard With

Richard With - Hurtigruten - Ruby Rejser

The ship is named after the founder of Hurtigruten. On the voyage in North norway you can find statues of Richard With.
She had a total renovation in 2018 to a more modern interior and with more suites.

MS Kong Harald

This ship is named after Norways king.
This you can see onboard the ship where the crown is a part of the interior.
She had a total renovation in 2016 to a more modern interior.

MS Spitsbergen


This ship is named after the biggest Island on Svalbard. The ship joined Hurtigrutens navy in 2016.
It is one of the smaller ships and is sailing on the coastline between september to may and the rest of the year it is an explorer ship.

MS Vesterålen


This is the 3rd ship with this name and it replaced its name sister from 1950.
This is a working ship with passengers and cargo on board. It is one of the smaller ships.

MS Lofoten


The ship is one of the most classical ships which has sailed along the coast for most years and has its original salongs back from 1964.
The more maritime and unformell environment will make a more nostalgic experience.

MS Nordstjernen


This ship is sailing to Svalbard.
It is named after the northernstar (Stella Polaris) which has helped a lot of sailors to navigate during the vikingage. 

MS Fram

This is one of the expeditionsships sailing to Greenland, Antarctica, Svalbard and Iceland. Is is build to sail in the polar areas. 

MS Roald Amundsen

Roald Amunsen - Hurtigruten - Tilbud på rejser

The ship is sailing in Antarctica and Greenland.
She is the newest edition to Hurtigruten navy and is build in 2018. It has hybrid technology,
big panorama platforms and serveral cabins has its own balconies. 

MS Fridtjof Nansen
