Day 1. Departure day

Day 2. Arctic Wilderness Evening incl. dinner at Camp Barentz
With the day at leisure, you have the chance to explore Longyearbyen before you depart for the Arctic Wilderness Evening incl. dinner at Camp Barentz, in the evening.
Camp Barentz is located approx. 10 km east of Longyearbyen, at the foot of the Gruve 7 mountain. The camp's great location gives you the opportunity to experience the magnificent nature, and the Svalbard reindeer is a common sight in this area. The house was built as a replica of the cabin on Novaya Zemlya where Willem Barentsz and his crew were forced to spend the winter during their expedition in the years 1596-1597, during which time they accidentally discovered Bjørnøya and Spitsbergen. The bus stops slightly outside the camp, and you are welcomed by our hosts who lead you the rest of the way. The hosts will be armed with rifles to protect you against polar bears. Inside in the warmth, you are welcomed with a lit fireplace, and hot food is served while the hosts offer lectures and pictures. The lectures will be about the polar bear, the world's largest land predator.
The Arctic Wilderness Evening lasts approx. 3 hours.
Day 3. Possibility of a boat trip to the Nordenskiöld Glacier and Pyramiden (not included)
